Between Two Worlds Audio Play
BETWEEN TWO WORLDS audio play is a dramatisation of my book, The Gift of Alzheimer’s. It is written by Penny Black, directed by Jake Murray and produced by Jason Fité, Peracals Productions. It features Juliet Stevenson CBE (Truly, Madly, Deeply) and Tony Award winner, Jane Lapotaire, (The Crown, Downtown Abbey).
The project was originally conceived as a stage play by founding member of the Royal Exchange Theatre, Braham Murray, OBE. Upon his untimely passing his son, Jake Murray was appointed director. Following the closure of theatres due to Covid, the production company produced this audio play, which was recorded at 2020 Studios, London.
Reviews:
Wonderfully Moving
A wonderfully moving, life affirming audio drama that made me cry more than once. So many congratulations to everyone involved and it deserves to do really well.
Upside to Dementia?
What’s most interesting about ‘Between Two Worlds’ is that the producers were open to presenting a possible upside to dementia, namely that those who succumb can access a place ‘beyond reason’ in what some have called the ‘Eternal Now’. Loving care by affected relatives can also help enormously and ease suffering hugely. Well done by all concerned!
