Designing and making have always been an important part of my life, often running parallel to my other work. Over the years it has included new products and filing patents, fashion, furniture, greeting cards, ceramics…

I currently work as a potter making make wheel-thrown functional ware. My aesthetic is rooted in minimalism and shaped by the principle: form follows function. As a result my pottery is both aesthetic and functional. The quiet rhythm of repetitive throwing induces a meditative state in me which is embodied in what I make.

My Journey – Following my studies in ceramics in London which were influenced by Bernard Leach, in 1976 I went down to Cornwall and did an apprenticeship with one of his master potters. Feeling confident and inspired I returned to London and set up the Fleet Pottery Workshop. In 2017 I moved to Findhorn and having had a break, rediscovered my love of making pots.
