Kinesiology is a holistic system of healthcare that uses manual muscle testing to communicate directly with the body. It is truly holistic, addressing ALL aspects: structural, mental, emotional, chemical, nutritional and energy, and is intrinsically linked with the acupuncture system.

Assessment: Muscle testing is used as an assessment tool to identify stresses/imbalances, and to ascertain what will restore balance.  A kinesiologist can, with precision, uncover stresses/imbalances of any kind, find the underlying cause and address this.

Treatment: Having identified the stress/imbalance, your body dictates the treatment. Treatments include: massage on specific points, light touch, emotional, nutrition and energy balancing, and specific movements (this is done fully clothed). These can:

  • increase your energy and vitality

  • help to prevent illness

  • release emotional stress
  • relieve physical pain and tension

  • improve your posture
  • identify allergies and nutritional needs

  • enhance your brain function

Balancing: These treatments have an instant effect and bring your whole system back into balance which optimises your self-healing process.

Who can benefit? Everyone: babies, the elderly, athletes, performers, the fit, the injured, the unwell, dyslexics etc. When someone cannot be muscle tested a “surrogate” can be used. Many people have kinesiology regularly as part of their health and fitness programme.

I’ve been practicing and teaching kinesiology since 1984 and developed a training programme for healthcare professionals that was adopted by all the main UK kinesiology training organisations.  I’m an honorary member of The Kinesiology Federation, (KF) and The Kinesiology Association (KA). And I’m author of the classic introductory book, Principles of Kinesiology,  first published in 1992.
